What's wrong with most of Facebook?
(Other than being told I'm spelling it wrong unless I capitalize the F)Many things!
For One:
I think Albert Einstein, who feared us being slaves to technology, might of hesitated at helping us be the superpower we are today. Say what you want about the correlation. You lack some global awareness if you think FB would of been popular if we weren't so much in everyone's faces as a nation.
Two:
The ability to articulate your point of view, by no means establishes any credibility on the subjects you choose to write about. Write ALL you want about political situations that you take no part of. Go ahead, judge everything and everyone you can think of from your safety.
Three:
FB has helped accomplish some amazing modern revolutions. True. None of them were peaceful. Think about the fact that 'Freedom of Speech' isn't global.
This website pushes for that freedom, but at costs that you - yourself, will never feel, witness or read about. When the people in your neighborhood start disappearing because of something they wrote on FB. You will realize that you squander your time abusing a freedom on BULLSHIT, while people die for pressing "like" on a pornstar's page.
Facebook is a very valuable tool for world peace. A wrongly operated tool tends to do more damage than good, despite hitting the nail on the head once or twice.
tl:dr; Global Socialization comes with a world of good and bad. Im tired of people brushing over the bad it does - while having no personal consequences. Acknowledge the oppressed. Start using the tool correctly.
